The Importance of Puppy Training
Dogs are very cute creatures, especially when they are only a few weeks from birth. Puppies are certainly adorable - they have a cute charm on them that almost anyone who sees them would just stop by and steal a quick and gentle pat on their tiny bodies.
They emit cute sounds, too. Whenever they try to ask for their mother's milk, or whenever they are hungry, they would simply whine tiny sounds, almost like soft whispers, which are completely different from the earsplitting barks of their older kinds.
As a puppy grows to maturity, it should learn from a lot of things. Eventually, it should be able to walk using its four feet, and learn how to make their tiny whines into threatening barks. They would soon learn about the kind of environment they live in, and begin to perceive what kind of people are those around them. This gradual learning process contributes to the puppy's psychological aspects, and unknown to most dog owners, this learning process is crucial in shaping a puppy's temperament.
Though some dogs' temperament can be easily perceived based on their genetic lineup and bloodline, the environment and the treatment on dogs still play a big part in molding a dog's personality. For instance, one may judge at a glance that a Rottweiler puppy would surely become quite temperamental when it grows up, since it belongs to a Rottweiler breed. Rottweiler breeds are usually perceived as temperamental dogs, but then, proper upbringing and treatment would surely change the way these dogs would respond to others.
The same should also go well with other dog breeds, even with Border Collies. Since these dogs are usually perceived as intelligent and dominating, Border Collies, as early as possible should undergo proper training, most preferably, Border Collie puppy training.
Like what was mentioned, the stage wherein there is a gradual learning process that takes place is very essential in molding a certain dog's personality. This stage normally takes place during the puppy stage, so owners should dedicate extra time to train these puppies on how they would want these dogs to behave in the future. This is when proper housebreaking should be taught to the dog, and the dog's dominating personality should be eliminated as much as possible. Some dog owners usually make mistakes during this crucial stage, and they usually suffer from the consequences of these mistakes in the future. Some common mistakes like treating the dog like a human, spoiling the dog while it was still a puppy, and such - as much as possible should be avoided or else, the cute puppy would gradually turn into a troublemaker and wreak havoc in the household. It would then fail to follow the rules and dominate over the whole household, which could be a living nightmare to any dog owner. Thus, dog owners should always put in mind that a dog should be well-treated and trained as early as possible.
Molding a Border Collie puppy to become a good dog should be accomplished with a Border Collie puppy training and treatment. It should take a little time to do so and after all the proper training, everthing should go as smoothly as planned - a happy owner with a good and well-refined Border Collie dog.
